WNCC Financial Aid - Concurrent Enrollment Procedures

A student who wants to enroll in more than one institution at the same time can qualify for funding for the combined enrollment, but cannot receive funding from two schools at once. The student receives financial aid from the school at which he/she expects to receive a degree, diploma or certificate. The degree-granting school is called the home institution while the other college at which the student is taking classes is the host.

The student must complete a concurrent enrollment form or consortium agreement by the 10th day of each semester in order to receive federal financial aid for all credits.

By signing the consortium agreement, the student agrees to the following:

  • The home college is the student’s funding institution from which the student is intending to earn a degree, diploma or certificate,
  • The student must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress in accordance with WNCC’s Financial Aid Office policy,
  • The student can be requested to provide a copy of an official document verifying completion of course(s) to WNCC (failure to do so may result in financial aid suspension),
  • Award(s) is/are based on student’s enrollment status according to WNCC enrollment policies and will be disbursed by WNCC’s Business Office,
  • The student is responsible for paying educational expenses at the host college, and
  • The student gives permission for the host college to release grades from concurrently enrolled courses to WNCC.

If you know the institution in which you would like to concurrently enroll, please:

  • Select the appropriate institution below
  • Print the consortium agreement
  • Complete the student section, sign and date
  • Return the form to Western Nebraska Community College’s Financial Aid Office to be forwarded on to the host college OR return the form directly to the host institution at the address provided at the top of the form

Please visit Chadron State College’s Financial Aid Web site at www.csc.edu/finaid/appl_concur.htm if you are receiving your degree and funding through CSC but would like to concurrently enroll with WNCC.
