A THREE STEP system has been designed to allow returning students to do the following tasks from any web-enabled computer at home, work or school:
Select the Planning Schedule link in the WNCC Portal.
Create a proposed schedule by browsing WNCC courses online, or by entering class numbers obtained from the schedule of classes. Students may begin planning schedules as soon as the tabloid is made available to the public and class schedules are released to the website.
Step 2: Submit your Planning Schedule to a faculty advisor for approval. Students have full access to their own course history and program requirements to guide course selections.
(This step replaces a live visit to your advisors office for a signature.)
After the faculty advisor has approved your class selections, you will be ready to complete the final registration step. Advisor approval is usually received within a day.
(This step replaces the paper form students traditionally take to advisors or to Student Services staff.)
Step 3: Complete the registration step by continuing on to the Registraton Processor in WebAdvisor. Complete this step as soon as possible after the registration period opens. (This step replaces waiting in long lines during registration.)
Registration for Spring classes usually begins in early/mid-November; registration for summer and fall classes begins in early/mid-April.
Returning students have a CHOICE between TWO different methods to make class selections for online registration!
Class number entry allows returning students to select courses they've located using the standard paper tabloid class schedule (available in all area newspapers and newstands).
Browsing courses allows returning students to review and select courses by term, division, location, and time range.
